FME Names Regional Head for Asia

SYDNEY/SINGAPORE: Jon Penn has been tapped as the CEO of FremantleMedia Enterprises’ business in the Asia Pacific, directly reporting to the company’s global CEO, David Ellender.

This new structure sees Penn overseeing the international television distribution, home entertainment, and licensing businesses—including consumer products, interactive (online and mobile), digital content, sponsorship and live events—across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Penn is responsible for developing, setting and implementing the strategy for FME’s businesses the region, and he will also look at growing the business in key territories such as India and Japan. He is also charged with extending FME’s new and established brands as widely as possible, as well as securing high-quality third-party product and content.

Penn was most recently the senior VP of licensing for FME in the Asia Pacific.
