FME Clinches Licensing Deals

LONDON: FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has ramped up its activities as a third-party licensing agent, inking deals with TLC and Original Productions, among others.

FME has secured the licensing rights for TLC’s American Chopper, Miami Ink and LA Ink, and has signed with Original Productions to represent the licensing to Motor City Motors. In addition, FME is now the exclusive licensor of the Golden Boy brand from boxer Oscar De La Hoya for consumer products, interactive and mobile licensing.

“These newest additions to our brand portfolio represent a unique snapshot of various lifestyles and cultures that cultivate true brand loyalty, making them ideal for reaching audiences through new product extensions,” said David Luner, the senior VP of interactive and consumer products at FME. “By translating their success into new product spaces, we hope to forge even deeper, longer-term connections between the brands and consumers.”

FME recently entered into a representation deal with The Lingerie Football League (LFL) to handle the global rights across television distribution, home entertainment, sponsor integration, digital extensions and consumer products. Globally, FME represents CBS’s catalogue of titles in Asia, Paramount Licensing properties in Australia and New Zealand, design property Rebecca Bonbon internationally, ZDF’s The Elephant Princess and H20: Just Add Water in Eastern Europe and WeeWorld, the avatar-based social game and virtual world for teens, among other properties.
