First Original Mini-Series for Lifetime Movie Network

LOS ANGELES, February 27:
Lifetime Movie Network will premiere its first original mini-series, The
Capture of the Green River Killer
,
as a two-night feature on March 30 and 31.

Starring Golden
Globe-nominee Tom Cavanagh as an obsessive detective, The Capture of the
Green River Killer
tells the true
story of the 20-year search for one of the most prolific serial killers in U.S.
history. Told through the eyes of a young runaway, Helen, played by Amy
Davidson (8 Simple Rules), part
one of the mini-series sets up the story with the characters crossing paths.
Part two centers on Helen’s disappearance and a detective’s pursuit to break
the case and convict the Green River Killer once and for all.

Based on the book Chasing
the Devil
: My Twenty-Year Quest
to Capture the Green River Killer
by
David Reichert, the mini-series is produced by Once Upon a Time Films for
Lifetime Movie Network. Stanley M. Brooks (Broken Trail) and John Pielmeier (Sins of the Father, Lifetime's The Memory Keeper's Daughter) serve as executive producers, while Juliette
Hagopian (Holiday Switch) and
Emmy Award-winner Damian Ganczewski (Broken Trail) produced the movie.

"The quality of the
script and the caliber of the producers and cast were a perfect fit for this
project to be the first original mini-series in Lifetime Movie Network's
history," commented Louise Henry Bryson, the president of distribution for
Lifetime Networks and executive VP and general manager for Lifetime Movie
Network. "Our loyal viewers have made Lifetime Movie Network the number-two
highest-rated cable channel for women, second only to Lifetime, because they
are avid movie fans. This first-ever mini-series event, bringing to life a
compelling and emotional true story, will give women even more to love."
