Fireworks Renews Distribution Deal for Primetime Emmys

LONDON, November 8: The Academy of Television Arts &
Sciences has renewed Fireworks International’s contract as the international
distributor of the Primetime Emmy Awards Show outside of the U.S., Australia,
New Zealand, Canada, China and Vietnam.

Fireworks International will continue to represent the
international rights to the awards show through 2010. The company has
represented the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences since 2003.

Fireworks licensed the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards Show,
which was presented earlier this year, to more than 143 territories worldwide.
New distribution agreements were clinched with CYBC in Cyprus; Serie Club in
France; Teleimedi for Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan; and Orbit and Dubai TV
in the Middle East. In addition, E! Entertainment picked up the show for the
U.K. for the first time. Returning licensees include TV 4 Sweden; Sony’s AXN
and SET channels in Spain, Portugal, Central Europe, Japan and Latin America;
ProSieben Germany; Canal Jimmy in Italy; TV2 Norway; MNET in South Africa; Hot
Vision in Israel; Fiji Television; and MediaCorp in Singapore.
