FiOS Boosts HD Slate

NEW YORK: Verizon FiOS is adding two new high-definition services to its lineup this month: Nat Geo WILD HD and Investigation Discovery HD.

The platform now offers more than 140 HD networks as well as 3,300-plus high-definition VOD titles every month. "We consistently look for ways to enhance the FiOS TV channel lineup, and adding Nat Geo WILD HD and Investigation Discovery HD helps provide our customers with the high-def programming they’ve been requesting," said Terry Denson, VP of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. "The addition of new HD channels, along with recent launches of multicultural content and more, is part of our ongoing commitment to lead the industry in the scope and quality of our programming. And with the network built for HD, Verizon delivers the ultimate experience to each FiOS TV customer’s home."

The standard-definition feeds of both Nat Geo WILD and Investigation Discovery are already carried on FiOS.
