Film Australia Adds Content to Google Video

SYDNEY, September 29: Film Australia has made a selection of
clips from its archives available on Google Video.

The organization currently provides over 950 digitized clips
for preview purposes through its online stock-shot catalogue, and has an
ongoing program to digitize the entire archive of 5,000 titles. Film
Australia’s library dates back to the early 1900s.

“This relationship with Google furthers Film Australia’s aim
to reach the widest possible audience for our documentaries and education
programs,” said Film Australia’s CEO, Daryl Karp. “It builds on a program of
preservation and access management and demonstrates some of the possibilities
for documentary makers to reach new audiences in the digital age.”
