HONG KONG: Disney Media Distribution has extended its programming licensing deal with FOX International Channels with a new first-run, multi-year pact that includes the midseason replacement Missing with Ashley Judd.

The deal gives FIC’s Asia-Pac channels first-run rights in 13 markets to a slate of new and returning Disney dramas, among them Body of Proof, G.C.B., Once Upon a Time and Missing.

“The extension of our agreement enables us to continue delivering more exclusive, high-quality content to viewers across Asia for years to come,” said Joon Lee, senior VP of programming for creative and channel operations at FIC Asia. “Importantly, the strategic agreement also allows us to provide viewers innovative content on the platform—and screen—of their choice.”

“This deal reinforces our goal of bringing compelling and innovative content across multiple platforms to entertain people,” added Amit Malhotra, VP of program distribution, at Disney Media Distribution Asia Pacific.
