Farrell Meisel Reestablishes FMI Consultancy Group

LOS ANGELES,
September 20: Farrell Meisel is reinstating his consultancy firm, FMI Media
Group.

From 1997 to
2001, as principal in the FMI Media Group, Meisel represented clients in
various international markets focusing on general management, strategic
planning, advertising sales, programming development, acquisitions, news,
promotion, branding, marketing and new media.

For the past
three years, Meisel has worked for the U.S. government’s Middle Eastern news
network Alhurra Television (“The Free One” in Arabic) where he has provided
general project management services, including the infrastructure design,
planning, launch, operations, program development and execution of the
network’s format, including news, information, feature and acquired
programming, personnel, technical and production operations, network branding
positioning and marketing strategies.

A media
executive with extensive international experience, Meisel has served as group
COO for MediaCorp) as managing director of The Movie Channel Middle East, and
as senior VP and managing director-UK for Time Warner International
Broadcasting/HBO International. In 1992 and 1993, Farrell directed the
successful launch of managed TV6 Moscow, Russia’s first private, commercial
television station for Turner Broadcasting International, just months after the
collapse of the Soviet Union.
