Fall Debut for Swedish Version of Beat Your Host!

MUNICH, May 29: SevenOne
International has sold the format rights to the ProSieben game show Beat
your Host! to Sweden’s Kanal 5 for
a fall launch.

The show, Vem kan slå
Filip och Fredrik (Who Can Beat
Filip and Fredrik?), will air in a
prime-time weekend slot. The competing hosts will be the comedic duo of Filip
and Fredrik, who will alternate in playing against a competitor from the
audience. The popular pair currently hosts another Kanal 5 series, 100
höjdare (100 Highlights).

SevenOne International has
sold Beat Your Host!
(originally produced by Raab TV/Brainpool) in 12 countries so far, including
the U.K. with ITV, the Netherlands and Denmark.

Jens Richter, the managing director of SevenOne International, noted: “Beat
Your Host! went on the air in
Germany barely two years ago, with consistently sensational audience shares.
The ratings have drawn attention from beyond our borders. And Beat Your
Host! also works internationally
because it’s innovative and surprising."

anything comparable on Swedish TV. Filip and Fredrik are ideal

anything they have to beat an opponent."
