Facebook Watch Lines Up Three New Shows

There are three new shows coming to the Facebook Watch platform, including a docuseries with Bear Grylls.

Electus and Grylls have teamed up for Bear Grylls: Face the Wild, which launches March 21 on Facebook Watch. For the first time, Grylls will surprise ten of his most inspiring fans by inviting them on one-on-one adventures of a lifetime, to join him in facing the wild. Fans can become part of each journey by following the Bear Grylls: Face the Wild show page on Facebook Watch.

Also in the unscripted arena, Fly Guys is a new action-infused series that will debut on Facebook Watch on February 2. The ten-episode series—each of which is 12 to 15 minutes in length—will follow an all-star crew of Europe’s most talented acrobats and professional stunt performers, highlighting their challenges and successes as they design, build and execute gravity-defying over-the-top physical performances in locations throughout Eastern Europe. The show is produced by Jukin Media.

Blumhouse Television, meanwhile, has joined forces with Raelle Tucker (True Blood, The Returned, Jessica Jones) and Scott Winant (True Blood, Good Girls Revolt, Californication) to produce a half-hour dramatic series for Facebook Watch. The series, Sacred Lies (working title), is based on the classic Grimms Brothers tale The Handless Maiden and the novel The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes.
