Ex-Endemol Exec Lands at BBC Worldwide

LONDON: Caroline Torrance, most recently with Endemol, is joining BBC Worldwide as its director of investment, heading up the company’s content acquisition team.

Torrance takes over from Matt Forde, who has been upped to the position of executive VP of sales and distribution and co-productions in BBC Worldwide’s New York office. From the beginning of September, she is tasked with managing BBC Worldwide’s relationship with BBC Vision, ensuring the commercial viability of all BBC Worldwide program investments and securing international co-production partners for in-house BBC productions. She reports to Wayne Garvie, the director of content and production.

She was most recently director of scripted programming and distribution and Endemol. Prior to that, Torrance was senior VP for the Americas and Eastern Hemisphere and head of drama co-productions at Granada International (now ITV Global Entertainment).
