Ex-Classic Media Exec Joins Disney TV Animation

BURBANK: Disney Television Animation has appointed Kevin Gamble, most recently VP of production and creative for Classic Media, as its new VP of development.

Reporting to Eric Coleman, the senior VP of original series at Disney Television Animation, Gamble will be responsible for the development and production of new animation shorts and series geared towards kids, tweens and families on Disney Channel, Disney XD and other platforms. He will also oversee the recruitment of new artists, directors and writers, and will collaborate with the talent and music departments.

Gamble has been working in animation since 1997, with stints at Mainframe Entertainment, Nerd Corps and most recently Classic Media. He will relocate from New York to Los Angeles and will be based at Disney’s Burbank headquarters.
