Comcast Acquisitions Exec to Lead Distribution & Strategy at OWN

LOS ANGELES: Allan Singer takes on the role of executive VP of distribution and strategy for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, joining from Comcast, where he served as senior VP of content acquisition.

Singer will lead the content distribution and sales strategy for OWN starting today, based in Los Angeles. Singer began at Comcast in 2003 as senior VP of programming investments. In 2006, he moved to Comcast’s sports division as senior VP of sports business development. He also served as senior VP of content acquisition for Comcast Cable. Prior to Comcast, Singer was senior VP of programming at AT&T Broadband and president of Satellite Services.

"Allan’s expertise will ensure OWN’s content is available to viewers on every platform.
