Evergreen Highlights New Titles

LONDON: Evergreen Entertainment will be presenting seven new titles at MIP Junior, among them Little Krishna.

From Big Animation, Little Krishna is a 3-D series from India. XOL is a comedy action series co-production by Peach Blossom Media, Steve Walsh Productions and India’s Animatzione. Peach Blossom also produced Shapes, based on fables from all around the world. A second season is slated for delivery in the second part of 2010.

Another preschool offering on Evergreen’s slate is Tiptop. From Hungary’s Wyvern Images, the 26×6-minute show uses bright colors and is done in 3-D. Crazy Cavemen, from the U.K.’s Silver Fox Entertainment, has been commissioned by CBBC for delivery in 2010. Also on the roster is Monster Coins, developed by Taiwan’s Sofa Studios and produced in conjunction with Peach Blossom Media.

For MIPCOM, Evergreen is highlighting Silver Fox Entertainment’s classic series Spider, as well as Olive and the Rhyme-Rescue Crew.

Evergreen’s managing director, Steve Walsh, commented: "This should be taken as meaning that we are here to stay. The last 12 months haven’t been easy for anyone, but we have managed to increase our sales force and to improve our turnover, even if we do spend a lot more time chasing customers for payment than we used to!"

He added: "We are convinced that together with our back catalogue our lineup this year will prove very strong. Buyers are showing signs of wanting to buy again, but I’m sure they will pick and choose very carefully to make their budgets go as far as possible."
