Entara Adopts Parthenon Name

LONDON, January 10: Entara has adopted the Parthenon
Entertainment Group name, as of this month, following the acquisition of
Parthenon by Entara’s parent company, the private investment and business
management group Arkaga Fund.

All
Entara’s properties, including Magic Roundabout, Domo,
Jakers! and Those
Scurvy Rascals
, will be managed within the Parthenon
Entertainment Group structure.

Carl Hall,
the founder and chief executive of Parthenon, noted:
“After a lot of internal discussion and debate we decided to have one brand
under which to operate both Parthenon Entertainment’s and Entara’s programming
and property portfolios. The decision was made to adopt the Parthenon name as
the board felt it had a wide resonance in the international marketplace. We
look forward to growing the Group’s activities further in 2008.”

In related news, Caroline Mickler has been tapped by
Parthenon to advise and assist in building the group’s licensing opportunities,
including those for the Entara brands. In addition to representing the
Parthenon Entertainment Group properties, Mickler also represents The Beatles
and Horrid Henry, the animation series
produced by the British indie Novel Entertainment. She was previously managing
director of PolyGram Licensing, and joint managing director of Copyright
Promotions International.
