Endemol Spotlights Raft of Finished Programs

HILVERSUM, October 12: A number of new
entertainment, reality and factual shows are featured in Endemol International’s
catalogue, many of which have already secured deals in Europe, Asia, Australia
and New Zealand.

The 6×1-hour Sex
Education
, examining modern sexual culture, has sparked
much conversation throughout the U.K. media. The series has also drawn in
audiences of up to 3.3 million in its prime-time slot on Channel 4. Also from
Endemol UK is the new reality series Celeb Air, which sees a team of celebrities running
their own airline. The show broadcasts in a prime-time slot on ITV2 in the U.K.
Another ITV2 hit is Coleen’s Real Women. The show has now been sold to 12 territories, including the
Netherlands (RTL), New Zealand (TVNZ), Australia (XYZ), Poland (BBC), Canada (W
Network), Sweden, Norway and Denmark (TV3).

Season two of Supersize
vs. Superskinny
will be
making its market debut. The first season of the series sold to 13 countries,
including Italy (Discovery), Hong Kong (ATV), Belgium (Vitaya), Australia
(XYZ), Poland (BBC), Netherlands (RTL), Finland (Nelonen), Canada (W Network),
Sweden, Norway, Denmark (TV3) and Hungary (Viasat 3). Finished shows from the
U.S. include Wipeout,
which was a hit on ABC this summer. The U.S. version has also been successful
on Nine Network in Australia and TV3 in New Zealand and will make its market
debut at MIPCOM.

From reality
producer 51 Minds, following Endemol’s acquisition of a controlling share in
the company earlier this year, comes season three of Rock of Love, season two of Charm School, the first season of I Love Money and Glam Gods—all hits for VH1 in the U.S.

Matt Creasey, the
director of sales and distribution at Endemol International, commented: “I’m
particularly proud of the quality and diversity of what we have on offer this
year. What’s more, the significant number of deals we’ve secured for the shows
we launched at MIPTV underlines how much potential these programs have
internationally.”
