Endemol Showcasing New Horror Series

HILVERSUM, October 9: The zombie thriller Dead Set joins a range of dramas, comedies and telenovelas on
Endemol’s MIPCOM slate.

Produced by Zeppotron,
part of Endemol U.K., the drama Dead Set features sees a group of living dead terrorizing the Big Brother house. The series is set to air on E4 in the
U.K.

Also on offer is Don
Juan & His Fair Lady: Songs from the Heart. From Endemol Argentina, the modern-day
telenovela tells the story of a musician who tries to win the heart of a girl
from the wrong side of the tracks. The 180×1-hour series made its debut on
Telefe, which is jointly distributing the title at MIPCOM. Also being
distributed by Telefe and Endemol International is The Successful Mr. &
Mrs. Pells. The 150×1-hour
comedy/drama follows a failed actor who is secretly hired to live the life of
the country’s most famous TV anchor.

From Endemol
Netherlands is Julia’s Tango. The drama revolves around a story of friendship, love and ambition,
and has already been a hit for Net 5 in Holland. Vipers’ Nest has also had success in Holland, as well as
France. Channel One in Russia commissioned a local version, which is set for
production later this year.

Caroline Torrance, the director of scripted programming and
distribution at Endemol International, commented: “I’m thrilled to be including

its highly anticipated launch in the U.K. at the end of the month. As our
first-ever horror series it adds a new dimension to our portfolio and brings an
important genre into an already diverse slate of dramas, soaps, sketch shows
