Endemol Racks Up Sales Ahead of NATPE

HILVERSUM, January 21: Endemol International has secured a
number of international deals for three of its game show properties, including The
Kids Are All Right
.

Set to premiere on BBC One in March, The Kids Are All
Right
has now been picked up by SABC in
South Africa and Nova TV in Croatia. According to the company, further deals
are in the works but have not yet been finalized.

Meanwhile, Ultimate Mind Quiz, a new family game show that challenges mental dexterity with visual
questions, has been acquired by TVE in Spain for a prime-time slot. The format
debuted on France’s TF1 last October.

Set for Life has been
picked up by VTV3 in Vietnam, which took the first season for broadcast later
this year; Kanal 1 in Turkey, which has debuted it in a prime-time slot; and
MBC in the Middle East. In total, the series has been sold to 11 territories
worldwide, including Argentina, Canada, Greece, Mexico, the Netherlands,
Norway, the U.K. and the U.S.

“These are a breed of new-generation shows that are stacked
with drama, playing prime time and scoring high in terms of both ratings and
value,” said Ana Langenberg, the senior licensing manager at Endemol. “They are
all generating a huge amount of international demand, which we’re expecting to
see plenty more of at next week’s market.”
