NEW YORK: Ben Silverman’s Electus is working with Fisher Stevens, producer of the Academy-Award-winning The Cove, on a doc feature that intends to provide insight into the decision-making processes of a group of people from all over the world.

Electus is partnering with Stevens’ new company, Insurgent Media, on the film, which will be co-directed by Stevens and Mark Monroe, who was the writer on The Cove. The film will be independently financed and is set for a 2011 theatrical release. Electus will own the global distribution rights for the film including television, motion picture and digital. The feature will utilize 20 different cameras to follow 20 different people on the exact same day as they make their daily decisions. The group ranges from a wealthy couple in Los Angeles deciding where to purchase a house  to a mother in a developing country figuring out how to feed her children, to a man on death row.

"We are thrilled to be making this film with Fisher Stevens, who has a keen eye and understanding for the human condition and is an accomplished Oscar-winning storyteller," said Ben Silverman, the CEO of Electus. "We are going to be doing a thorough and detailed examination of why and how people make the decisions they do and how different decisions have impact beyond the people making them."

"Ben is the ideal partner for a cultural experiment like this where we will delve deep, posing provocative questions to people of all walks of life on what really makes them tick," said Stevens.  "These distinctive personal perspectives will likely expose truly unique facets about our culture today."
