Eccho Rights is gearing up for MIPTV with a slate that features drama series from all across Europe, with new launches from Turkey and an updated selection of scripted formats from Korea.

Launching with a premiere screening at MIPTV is Invisible Heroes, a political drama based on true events that took place during the military junta in Chile in 1973. It tells the story of Finnish diplomats that secretly secured a route to refuge in Europe for over 2000 Chilean citizens targeted by the Pinochet regime. The series is co-produced by Kaiho Republic in Finland and Parox in Chile for Yle.

From Turkey, Wounded Birds comes from the creator of Elif for new production outfit Stellar Yapim. The series premieres on Kanal D in Turkey this April.

Honour is a Swedish thriller, co-created by three of its leading actors Alexandra Rapaport, Anja Lundqvist and Julia Dufvenius, alongside The Bridge star Sofia Helin, for production company Bigster. Also featuring Maria Wern‘s Eva Röse, the series debuts on NENT Group’s Viaplay later this year and has already presold to Belgian pubcaster VRT.

Romanian revenge thriller Vlad is Pro TV’s biggest drama launch of the year and has garnered strong ratings during its current 13-episode run.

Eccho Rights is also bringing a bolstered lineup of scripted formats from partner company CJ ENM.

“We are really proud of the range of drama series we are currently representing, and as well as proven hits, we have a number of brand-new shows that are yet to air but already creating a buzz and generating presales,” said Fredrik af Malmborg, managing director of Eccho Rights.

“As drama commissioners and producers are increasingly looking for unique and innovative stories, we have handpicked a further selection of top scripted titles from CJ ENM to join our existing catalog,” added af Malmborg.
