E! Announces Asian Deals

CANNES, October 9: Ahead of the first day of MIPCOM, E!
Networks announced the sale of more than 800 hours of programming to Asian
broadcasters.

E! has sold 830 hours of content to broadcasters in China,
India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Manson
Media in China licensed 51 hours of The True E! Hollywood Story, while CCTV took Behind the Scenes. In India, Zee Café picked up more than 150 hours,
including the shows Sexiest, E!

, 101 Starlicious Makeovers, Forbes Celebrity: Who Made Bank and 50 Best Chick Flicks, also slated to air on Zee Studio.

Movie Plus and Movie Plus HD’s acquisitions in Japan include
E! Live from the Red Carpet, Behind
the Scenes
and 101 Best Kept
Hollywood Secrets
, as well as episodes of The
True E! Hollywood Story
. Also in Japan, Fox
acquired the 2004 through 2007 editions of Miss Hawaiian Tropic
International Pageant
.

In South Korea, On Style and Catch On took 40 hours,
including 101 Amazing Celebrity Slimdowns.
On Style also picked up Sexiest
and Forbes Celebrity: Who Made Bank,
among others, for 30 additional hours. The Dong Ah channel in Korea took Fight
for Fame
, and O’live Channel signed up for 50
Most Shocking Celebrity Confessions,
alongside
a range of other content.
