LONDON: A host of deals have been signed by DRG across Eastern Europe for the prime-time BBC factual-entertainment title The Real Hustle.

The upcoming seventh season was presold to BBC Worldwide Channels for a prime-time broadcast on BBC Entertainment in Poland, where the show will launch later this year. The series will also air on BBC Entertainment feeds in Asia and Africa.

Chello Central Europe picked up seasons three through six for Spektrum. The Chello deal also includes two special themed seasons: The Real Hustle: Las Vegas and The Real Hustle Winter and Christmas Specials. Spektrum will air the series across the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Slovak Republic.

Discovery Networks EMEA went for seasons three through five, as well as The Real Hustle: Las Vegas for Discovery Channel in Romania. The series previously aired on Discovery’s Nordic feed.

The presenter-led show gives an insider’s guide to the world’s worst rip-offs, scams, tricks and hustles. The show was created and is produced by Objective Productions for BBC Three. DRG has sold the series into more than 60 territories, while the format has launched locally in seven markets.

Reema Patel, the senior sales executive for Eastern Europe, Pan Europe and Benelux at DRG, said, “The Real Hustle has grown into one of the U.K.’s most successful factual entertainment TV exports, especially amongst broadcasters targeting male and female viewers aged 16 to 34 years old. The show’s fast pace, long-running volume and high-quality production values has made it a must buy for more than 60 territories worldwide—and we’re delighted to be bringing the latest installments to Eastern Europe ahead of DISCOP East this week.”
