DQ Sells Animated Properties to MediaCorp

HYDERABAD: Three animated properties from DQ Entertainment, including The Jungle Book, have been picked up for MediaCorp’s okto channel in Singapore through an exclusive free-TV deal.

The second season of Todd World was included in the agreement, as was the first season of Maryoku Yummy. Todd World is a preschool series co-produced with Mike Young Productions for Discovery Kids. Maryoku Yummy is a co-production with American Greetings. In addition to the new pickup by MediaCorp, The Jungle Book has scored several international deals since its launch, including being acquired for pay TV by multiplex of Disney Channels for 27 countries.

Tapaas Chakravarti, the chairman and CEO of DQE Group, said: “The lineup of three shows from DQE on Media Corp networks is a strategic deal for us.
