SAG Awards Recognize Downton Abbey, Kevin Spacey, Viola Davis & More

LOS ANGELES: The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, which were presented on Saturday, recognized the cast of Downton Abbey for best ensemble in a drama series, while Kevin Spacey and Viola Davis received individual performance nods in the TV drama category.

Spacey won for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series for House of Cards, while Davis took the win on the female side for How to Get Away with Murder. The best actor in a TV movie or miniseries award went to Idris Elba for Luther and the best actress nod in that category to Queen Latifah for Bessie.

In TV comedy, Orange Is the New Black won for outstanding performance by an ensemble. Series star Uzo Aduba was also honored, with a win for best female actress in a comedy series. Transparent‘s Jeffrey Tambor took home the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a comedy series.

Game of Thrones was recognized for stunt ensemble in a comedy or drama series.

On the motion picture side, Spotlight won for outstanding cast performance. Individual honors went to Leonardo DiCaprio for The Revenant and Brie Larson for Room, with supporting nods to Idris Elba for Beasts of No Nation and Alicia Vikander for The Danish Girl.
