Dori Renews Israeli Carriage Deal

TEL AVIV, August 8: Dori Media Group has signed a three-year extension for the carriage of its two dedicated telenovela TV channels—VIVA and VIVA Platina—on Israeli cable platform HOT.

The current agreement will be extended effective January 1, 2009, for three years. The terms remain materially unchanged, and HOT has the option to exit the agreement after two years.

VIVA is one of the three most popular channels on cable and satellite TV in Israel, while VIVA Platina is a premium pay service that broadcasts exclusively on weekends. In addition to HOT, Dori has an agreement in place with YES, the leading DBS television provider in Israel, to carry both channels until the end of 2010.

Nadav Palti, the president and CEO of Dori Media Group, commented: “We are delighted to announce the extension of our agreement with HOT. Our VIVA-branded channels have built a strong reputation for broadcasting high-quality content and attracting very loyal audiences. The extension agreement is part of our commitment to continue broadcasting quality content to the largest audiences and on the best TV networks both in Israel and internationally.”
