Dolphin’s Roxy Hunter Debuts New Merchandise

MIAMI, January 31: Dolphin
Entertainment has announced the launch of Roxy Hunter-branded apparel and merchandise in Limited Too and
Justice stores this week, alongside the premiere of the second installment of
its TV-movie franchise, Roxy Hunter and the Secret of the Shaman, which airs tomorrow at 8 p.m. on Nickelodeon.

Dolphin Entertainment has
entered into a multi-year marketing and licensing partnership with Tween
Brands, owner of tween girl apparel stores Limited Too and Justice. Tween
Brands began marketing for the new 40-plus piece apparel collection over the
2007 holiday season with a nationwide Roxy Hunter movie sweepstakes, wherein the winner received a
walk-on part in an upcoming Roxy Hunter movie, in addition to a shopping spree at Limited Too.

The franchise focuses on
Roxy Hunter, an irrepressible young super sleuth with a knack for catching the
bad guy and choosing the ultimate accessory. Produced by Bill O’Dowd, the
president of Dolphin Entertainment, the franchise is slated for 10 to 15 movies
over the next five years featuring Roxy’s adventures. The third and fourth
titles in the series—Roxy Hunter and the Myth of Mermaid and Roxy Hunter and the Horrific Halloween—are currently in post-production and are
scheduled to air on Nickelodeon in the summer and fall of 2008.

Other deals for the
property include media partnerships, such as a publishing deal with Penguin
Children’s Books, which is releasing an accompanying Roxy Hunter novel alongside of each movie release that closely
follows the story of the screenplay, as well as The Roxy Hunter Case Files, which
gives a first-person account of the mystery from the perspective of Roxy
herself.

Furthermore, on February
5, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release the first title in the series,
Roxy Hunter and the Mystery of the Moody Ghost, in the U.S. on DVD.
