Dolphin Entertainment Inks Deals on Gym Teacher: The Movie

MIAMI, November 20:
Several international distribution deals have been closed by Dolphin
Entertainment for Gym Teacher: The Movie,
which stars Christopher
Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims
Unit
), Nathan Kress (iCarly) and
Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy).

New
broadcast partners include Kids Central of Singapore, Globo in Brazil and
E-Vision of the United Arab Emirates.

A
Nickelodeon production in association with Dolphin Entertainment, the film
stars Meloni as a middle-school PE teacher who sees a forthcoming award as a
way to redeem himself of his failure to make the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team. Kress
plays a new transfer student who is not only completely non-athletic but
suffers from traumatophobia severe enough that he wears a helmet at all times.
Sedaris plays the role of the principal who carries a "Filipino Fighting
Stick" to assault night prowlers lurking after school.

"After
the great response Gym Teacher saw in
the U.S. as Nickelodeon's first family movie to air in prime time, we are
thrilled to introduce the film to viewers in Singapore, Brazil and the
UAE," said Bill O'Dowd, the chairman and president of Dolphin
Entertainment. "These deals with leading television broadcasters are an
example of our continued commitment to increase the global reach of our quality
programming."
