DOC Investigates Legend of Santa

NASHVILLE: The Documentary Channel (DOC) is to present the exclusive premiere of The Legends of Santa, a feature-length doc that tracks the origination and modern-day representation of Santa, on December 8 at 9 p.m.

Produced by Hefin Owen and narrated by Lord Richard Attenborough, The Legends of Santa traces the image of Father Christmas back to its origin and looks at how today’s representation of the figure is a culmination of centuries of history and legend. “During this time of year where stories of Santa Claus come to life, this delightful documentary shows audiences the true origins of an influential legend and how he has brought joy to so many,” said Kate Pearson, Documentary Channel’s senior VP of programming. “This is a film the whole family will enjoy.”
