Distraction to Launch New Production Department

LONDON, September 13:
Format specialist Distraction has announced plans to launch a new production
department, with The Walt Disney Company’s Kirsten Calteau tapped to lead the
new unit.

Calteau’s new position as
head of production will be based in Paris. She was most recently the head of
format development for southern Europe at The Walt Disney Company. She has also
had experience acquiring, distributing and managing production for both light
entertainment and scripted formats notably for the U.K., U.S. and France.

For the past 10 years,
Distraction has been recognized strictly as an independent format and media
distributor. Now, as Distraction celebrates its tenth anniversary this coming
MIPCOM, the move reflects the company’s ever-expanding nature in the distribution
market.

Michel Rodrigue, the
president and CEO of Distraction, commented: “I am extremely happy to add
Kirsten to our team and am certain that this new business move will make
important contributions to the development and growth of the company in the
months to come.”
