Disney Latin America, Telemundo Ink Novela Deal

CANNES: Disney Media Networks Latin America (DMNLA) is partnering with Telemundo Internacional to co-produce a Colombian version of the Chilean telenovela Where is Elisa?

Originally produced by Televisión Nacional de Chile, Where is Elisa? will be adapted for RCN in Colombia by Vista. A U.S. Hispanic edition for Telemundo has already premiered, and versions are under way for Turkey and Indonesia.

Marcos Santana, the president of Telemundo Internacional, commented: "Co-producing Where is Elisa? with such an experienced and talented company as Disney Media Networks Latin America is the perfect recipe for success. We are confident that this production will be as successful as the Chilean version and our own adaptation in the USA, which has become the most-watched telenovela in our current prime-time programming.
