Disney Channel Orders New Live-Action Comedy

BURBANK: Good Luck Charlie, an original live-action comedy series about a family whose life is turned upside down with the arrival of a new baby sister, is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channels around the world in 2010.

The multi-camera live-action series follows two teenagers and their 10-year-old brother, whose parents enlist their help when they return to work after the birth of their fourth child. With their parents balancing full-time careers, the siblings must all pitch in on raising the new baby while still navigating teenage life.

The series was created and executive-produced by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen, the team behind the hit sitcoms Suddenly Susan and What I Like About You. Dan Staley (Cheers, Love & Money) will also serve as executive producer. Good Luck Charlie is a production of It’s a Laugh Productions.
