Disney Channel Orders Good Luck Charlie Season Three

BURBANK: Disney Channel has ordered a third season of the series Good Luck Charlie, which is scheduled to premiere in early 2012.

Good Luck Charlie was created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen (Suddenly Susan, What I Like About You) and is executive-produced by Baker, Vaupen and Dan Staley (Cheers, Love & Money). It stars Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Leigh-Allyn Baker, Bradley Steven Perry, Mia Talerico and Eric Allan Kramer. The series is about the adventures of a typical family, the Duncans.

A Disney Channel Original Movie based on the series, Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas!, will air in December, and stars the cast, as well as guest stars Debra Monk (Damages, Grey’s Anatomy) and Michael Kagan (Desperate Housewives). The movie, about the Duncan family getting separated during the holidays, was written by Geoff Rodkey (R.V., Daddy Day Care) and directed by Arlene Sanford (Ally McBeal, Boston Legal).
