Discovery Studios Inks International Partnerships

SILVER SPRING: Lee Bartlett has announced several new international partnerships for Discovery Studios with the view to developing content to play on Discovery Communications’ channels around the world.

Discovery Studios, in partnership with Discovery Networks in the U.S. and internationally, will work with Shine Group, All3Media and WTFN to develop and commission original lifestyle, specialist, factual and general entertainment formats for the Discovery portfolio.

“Our partnership with these leading global production companies allows Discovery Communications to continue our leadership in the industry by offering our viewers the best creative programming available,” said Bartlett, executive VP of global production management, business and legal affairs. “Discovery has one of the strongest distribution footprints in media with popular and respected brands in more than 180 countries, and we are committed to delivering the best storytelling and most compelling characters across all of those platforms."

These are the latest creative pacts for Discovery Studios, which recently announced partnerships with Eddie Barbini, Rob Hammersly and Daniel Soiseth.
