Discovery Familia Bulks Up Schedule

MIAMI, November 12: A
number of new Spanish-language preschool series are slated to premiere on
Discovery Familia within its Discovery
Kids en Español daytime block, including Mister Maker.

Kicking off on November
17, Mister Maker aims to stimulate
children's creativity with a number of arts and crafts projects. The series'
eponymous host is a goofy character dressed in colorful clothes.

Also set to air on
Discovery Familia are Fifi and the
Flowertots (Fifi y los Floriguitos),
which celebrates the outdoors and encourages children to lead a healthy
lifestyle, and Fluffy Gardens (Fabulopolis), a preschool program
featuring a mix of animal characters.

Familia are dedicated to teaching kids how to think for themselves and become
lifetime learners, by offering them the most hours of Spanish-language
preschool programming anywhere," said Luis Silberwasser, the senior VP and
general manager of Discovery Network U.S. Hispanic Group. "Parents can
trust Discovery Familia to deliver a safe, high quality and engaging learning
environment, where children learn and conserve their Spanish language."
