Digital Emmy Award Winners Announced at MIPTV

CANNES: Projects from Kenya, Canada and the U.K. nabbed International Digital Emmy Awards at a ceremony at MIPTV organized by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in partnership with Reed MIDEM.

Kenya’s Well Told Story picked up the win in the children and young people category for Shujaaz FM, a multimedia communications project designed to motivate millions of Kenyans to take action to improve their lives. Endgame Interactive: Facebook Episode from Secret Location, Shaw Media and Thunderbird Films, won the fiction category. The transmedia episode was created to extend the Showcase television drama Endgame online. Live from The Clinic from Maverick Television for Channel 4 won the non-fiction category. The medical series allows viewers to apply through the show’s website to be seen by the show’s resident doctors and leading specialists live over webcam during transmission.
