Deutschland 83 Among Winners at Series Mania Festival

PARIS: The winners of the 2015 edition of the Series Mania Festival include the German production Deutschland 83.

Deutschland 83, produced by UFA Fiction and sold by FremantleMedia International, won the bloggers' award for best international series. Special mentions in the category went to Blue Eyes, a Swedish series aired by SVT and sold by ZDF Enterprises, and the Belgian series Strikers.

It was a tie for the winners of the audience award, between Olive Kitteridge, a miniseries from HBO in the U.S., and the Israeli drama False Flag.

The international press award was presented to La Vie Devant Elles for best French series. Alix Poisson won in the category for best French actress for Disparue, while Mathieu Kassovitz won for best French actor for Le Bureau des Légendes.

The web surfers' award, which involves international digital series, went to Ex-Model, a Chinese-French online show.
