DECODE Pre-Sells New Series to YTV

NEW YORK/TORONTO, January 10: DECODE Entertainment has
pre-sold its new animated science-fiction comedy series Gizmo, developed by Singapore’s Scrawl Studios and the
Media Development Authority of Singapore, to Canada’s YTV.

DECODE, which is co-producing the series with YTV and Hong
Kong animation company Agogo Entertainment, holds worldwide distribution rights
for Gizmo. The series, set to be
delivered this fall, features the adventures of a dysfunctional crew of alien
robots who crash-land in the backyard of siblings Daisy and Robin.

In other DECODE news, the preschool series Franny’s Feet is returning to PBS Kids for a second season with 13
brand new half-hour episodes.

The second season of the show, produced in conjunction with
Thirteen/WNET New York, will premiere on February 3 on PBS Kids. Franny’s
Feet
debuted in the U.S. on PBS Kids last
summer and was a success among the 4-to-7-year-old set. It follows the
adventures of Franny Fantootsie as she travels to various places around the
world and meets new friends. In new episodes of Franny’s Feet, Franny travels to India, Mexico and the Kalahari
Desert.

Franny’s Feet was
commissioned by Five in the U.K. and Canada’s Family Channel. It can be seen
around the world on ABC Australia, France 5, Cartoon Network in Japan, Canada’s
TeleQuebec, RAI in Italy, TVP Poland, Cartoon Network Taiwan, TV2 Denmark and
TV12 Singapore, among others.
