NEW YORK: Debmar-Mercury has filled the newly created role of senior VP of programming and production, with Alexandra Jewett to join the team.

Jewett is responsible for overseeing all Debmar-Mercury programming originating from the East Coast, including The Wendy Williams Show. Jewett will also assist in the development of all new projects. She will report to Lonnie Burstein, the executive VP of programming and production.

Previously, Jewett served as VP of programming and development for the East Coast at CBS Television Distribution, supporting the launch of The Rachael Ray Show and the final seasons of The Montel Williams Show.

“Alexandra has proven herself to be a very talented television executive who knows what daytime viewers want and, thanks to her award-winning producing skills, how to best deliver results,” said Burstein. “With Alexandra now serving as a critical part of our team, we believe Wendy and all other talent who join Debmar-Mercury’s growing stable of first-run programming will be in excellent hands.”
