Compedia to Create Postman Pat CD-ROM

LONDON,
August 12: Compedia will develop and launch a worldwide educational CD-ROM game
to complement Entertainment Rights’ new series Postman Pat Special Delivery
Service
, which will premiere on
BBC Two this fall.

The CD-ROM, aimed at
children 3 to 6 years old, will feature interactive games designed to develop
language and learning skills.

In the show, which has
been sold into more than 80 territories, Postman Pat takes a new job as the
head of Special Delivery Service. An expanded cast, a fleet of different
vehicles and a new town will be featured in the program.

Laura Turner-Laing, the VP
of global digital and music for Entertainment Rights, said: “Following our
successful partnership with Compedia on the Casper and Lassie CD-ROMs, we are delighted to partner again to bring Postman Pat to its fan base and a wider audience. This deal
forms part of a lineup of the new TV series: Postman Pat Special Delivery
Service
(SDS) promotional partnerships across multiple formats.
With over 25 years history, we are now taking the much loved and well-known
characters of Postman Pat into a dynamic new environment whilst maintaining the
brands essential integrity.”
