Comedy Game Show Billy on the Street Heads to Oz, India & Denmark

MUNICH: Red Arrow International has finalized agreements with broadcasters in Australia, India and Denmark for the comedy game show Billy on the Street, featuring the Emmy Award-winning comedian Billy Eichner.

The series is making its way to Foxtel's The Comedy Channel in Australia, Viacom's Comedy Central in India and TV 2 Zulu in Denmark. The show sees Eichner confront members of the public with a variety of outrageous pop-culture trivia questions.

Ferzad Palia, the executive VP and business head for English entertainment at Viacom 18, said, "At Comedy Central, our aim has always been to offer viewers the best available English entertainment and with Billy on the Street we bring another popular and innovative format to Indian audiences. We are confident that the show's energy and differentiated format will be an instant hit with Indian viewers."

Lars Nielsen, an acquisitions executive at TV 2, remarked, "Billy on the Street has the right blend of 'up in your face' humor and fast pace that makes it a really good fit for our young-skewing channel."
