Comedy Central Hires Digital Exec

NEW YORK: Steve Grimes has been named senior VP of digital media at Comedy Central.

To be based in New York, Grimes will report directly to Erik Flannigan, the executive VP of digital media at MTV Networks Entertainment Group. He will be responsible for supervising the Comedy Central digital media staff and will oversee the networks’ digital media initiatives across all platforms.

Grimes comes to Comedy Central from Topps, the sports-card company owned by Michael Eisner, where he served as VP and chief digital officer.
