Comcast International Launches New VOD Suite of Channels

CANNES, October 9: The
newly-created Comcast International Media Group (CIMG) is unveiling a suite of
video-on-demand fully branded channels at MIPCOM this week that includes E!
Entertainment Television, The Style Network, The Golf Channel, G4 and Exercise
TV.

The VOD offering targets
early adopters of new technologies, as well as the upscale 18-49 demographic
that continues to be desirable to advertisers.

For the first time,
localized versions of E! Online, a web portal for entertainment and pop
culture, will also roll out in six countries this year: Canada, the U.K.,
Australia, Germany, Italy, and France. The new localized versions will offer
the latest news from Hollywood and original broadband content from "The
Vine @ E! Online," columns by top entertainment reporters and localized
schedules, show information and talent bios, and much more. In addition to
previously launched sites in Spanish and Hebrew, the new site will be
translated into German, Italian and French, making E! Online now available in
six languages.

"With this new VOD
suite launch, we hope to leverage Comcast's status as pioneers in the VOD
industry," said CIMG president Kevin MacLellan. "Our expertise is
unsurpassed in the medium and our extensive market research has armed us with
an invaluable knowledge of our audiences, as well as their viewing and
purchasing habits."

Comcast International
Media Group (CIMG), a division of the U.S.-based Comcast Corporation, manages
the sale and distribution of Comcast Corporation’s programming assets outside
the U.S. via traditional and new-media platforms.
