CMF Invests C$3.4 Million in English POV Program

TORONTO: The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has made an investment of C$3.4 Million in 16 projects through its 2011-12 English Point-of-View (POV) Program, designed to encourage documentary production.

The CMF received 49 applications for the English POV Program and approved 16 for funding. A total of C$2.7 million is being committed to the TV components, with around C$700,000 for the digital extensions. Of the approved projects, two are from British Colombia, one is a co-production between Nova Scotia and Nunavut, six are from Ontario, six from Quebec and one from Saskatchewan.
