Citigroup Eyes Parsons for Chairman Role

NEW YORK, November 13:
Time Warner chairman Richard Parsons is reportedly being considered to replace
Win Bischoff as the chairman of Citigroup.

According to the Wall
Street Journal
, some directors on
the Citigroup board are considering a move to replace Bischoff, as they are
dissatisfied with the company's performance. Parsons, who is a member of
Citigroup's board, is said to be a leading candidate.

The possible chairman
switch, which is still in the discussion phase, reflects a rising sentiment
among some Citigroup directors that they'd prefer to have an outsider running
the board, the paper indicated.
