Cineflix Secures Agreements with German Broadcasters

LONDON, September 18:
Cineflix International has completed a batch of deals with German broadcasters
RTL, NDR and ProSieben’s Kabel 1 for programming such as Trapped and Mayday.

In RTL’s first deal with
Cineflix, the broadcaster picked up seasons two and three of the distributor’s
in-house production Mayday.
Currently in its fifth season, Mayday looks into both high-profile and little-known air disasters. The
program has been licensed in more than 30 territories worldwide.

NDR acquired Trapped, which focuses on examples of creative problem
solving, the application of basic scientific principles, hi-tech engineering
and the bravery of the rescuers.

Kabel 1 secured season
three of Huge Moves, the
Cineflix co-production with Windfall Films in the U.K. This series follows the
adventures of movers as they transport monstrous structures, such as a
cathedral, that were never meant to leave their foundations.

Paul Heaney, the managing director of Cineflix International, said: “We all know
that shows only get sold into Germany if they’re of the highest quality, and if
they fit the bill exactly. We have many good relationships across Germany not
just with the broadcasters above and we intend to build many more partnerships
in the near future. Get in!”
