Churchill’s Secret Sells Across MEA, AsiaPac, Europe

LONDON: Passion Distribution has locked in a number of deals from its comedy and drama catalogues, including for Churchill’s Secret.

The two-hour prime-time drama Churchill’s Secret stars Michael Gambon as Winston Churchill. It was originally commissioned by ITV from Daybreak Pictures. Sales for the drama so far include BBC Worldwide Australia for BBC First; ITV Choice Asia, Africa and Middle East; YLE Finland and SVT Sweden.

Passion has placed the comedy Lookalikes with Foxtel for its Comedy Channel and SVOD service Presto. The series, a Knickerbockerglory production for Channel 4, has also been acquired by SIC in Portugal.

Nine in Australia licensed the factual-entertainment series The Great Escapers, as well as Find It, Fix It, Flog It. National Geographic Australia acquired a package of 20 episodes from the Unreported World documentary series for Nat Geo People, where it will premiere in March.

Other sales include the second season of hit UGC series Make You Laugh Out Loud, which has been picked up by Seven in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand and TV2 Denmark.
