NEW YORK: The horror channel Chiller has unveiled its new slate of original programming, including a special and two original movies that are set to air over the third and fourth quarters of 2011.

It is set in a post-apocalyptic Reno, Nevada, where two survivors of a peculiar accident that resulted in a world full of zombies have taken refuge in a vacant casino. The movie is written by John Doolan and directed by Colin Theys, while Andrew Gernhard and Zach O’Brien will serve as producers for Synthetic Cinema International.

In Ghoul, another original movie, a group of friends risk their lives to stop the mysterious something behind a slew of disappearances in their town. The movie is based on the novel by Brian Keene and is written by William M. Miller, with Gregory M. Wilson serving as director. Andrew van den Houton and Robert Tonino of The Woman will serve as producers for Modernciné.

Chiller 13: Horror’s Creepiest Kids is a new special featuring the 13 all-time creepiest kids in horror films and is set to air on the network in December.
