Celestial Scores Output Deal for Movie Channel

HONG KONG: Celestial Pictures has firmed up an exclusive multi-year deal with Distribution Workshop to provide titles for its Celestial Movies channel in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.

The deal covers the entire slate of Chinese movies that Distribution Workshop has the rights for. This includes the upcoming 3D martial arts pic Flying Swords of Dragon Gate (working title), as well as the Chinese remake of the hit Hollywood movie What Women Want and the comedy Treasure Inn. The agreement includes pay-per-view and VOD rights.

Their diverse slate of star-studded movies will further enhance Celestial Movies’ position as the destination for the latest and greatest Chinese blockbusters on TV.”
