Celestial Inks Deals in Australia

HONG KONG, October 5: Celestial Pictures’ Shaw Brothers
titles will be available on free-to-air Australian TV for the first time, via a
deal with Special Broadcasting Service (SBS).

SBS has licensed the free-TV rights to a package of martial arts
classics, among them The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Come Drink With Me and
The Magic Blade
.

Also in Australia, Celestial has entered into an agreement
with PAN TV, which programs the Australian pay-TV network World Movies Channel.
The deal gives the channel the rights to Super Inframan, The Mighty Peking
Man
and Blood Brothers.

"We look forward to spreading the influence of Chinese
cinema by bringing some of the best of martial-arts films to the Australian
audiences,” said William Pfeiffer, the CEO of Celestial Pictures. “We will work
closely with our distribution partners to achieve the success the Celestial
Shaw Brothers library has experienced in other territories.”
