CBS Wins Monday-Night Battle

BURBANK, January 24: In the hotly contested Monday 9 p.m.
slot, with NBC’s Heroes and FOX’s 24 going head to head, the winner was in fact CBS’s Two
and a Half Men
, which pulled in 15.85
million viewers.

Heroes, however, won
the night in adults 18 to 49, with a 6.5 rating and 15 share in that demo and a
total of 14.8 million viewers, versus 14.28 million for 24. It also topped in adults, men and women 18-34, men
and women 18-49, adults and women 25-54. The Heroes victory over 24 in adults 18-49 marks the first time a regular-program competitor has
topped an original episode of 24
in this time period since May 16, 2005, the night of the Everybody
Loves Raymond
finale on CBS. The Heroes margin of victory for the hour was 20 percent in
18-49 (with a 6.5 rating vs. a 5.4 for 24).
